wow the effects in this are nuts, it's so unusual and cool

spikel responds:

Thanks man, unusual is a big compliment to me

The synth choice for this track is good I also love the jumpy drop with the saw lead in there. The melody is nice also, one thing that could be cool is to use a saw bass with some unison within the mid range to kinda growl a little. Everything is uplifting and awesome, well done

Ohh Thank you so much!!
I'm working on better songs =)

This song really catches my attention with the chord progression. I really like the descending action going on. The drums come in at the just right time with a little melody. The buildup could use a snare in it to make it more tense. Both drops sound good, but it could use a bass that is roars and sputters, you can use low pass filters with a lot of resonance to move about. Also, one more thing is to sidechain almost everything to your kick to make it punchy. This track is cool and could go somewhere

The chord progression hooked me in from the beginning, its cool. The drums make it seem a little chill, but they are a little busy. At 1:10 it would be cool to use a different kick and differend snare to change things up a little. The lead sound is awesome, its mellow and laid back. The structure is a little repetitive, try and experiment with some different arrangement styles. The vibe is kinda dreamy, its neat!

PanBat responds:

thanks for the feedback! before i put this on spotify i plan on changing some of the arrangement to fix the issue of it being too repetitive

The intro is full of some good energy, maybe there is a bit too much of white noise in the growly bass thing. The way it transitions in to the piano is cool, it really defines the melody. A useful thing to use is some sidechain to make the drums a little more punchy. But it sounds good!

jebuscrust9 responds:

I appreciate the feedback, will definitely try out some sidechain for the drums

This song can go somewhere, it just needs a bit of solid foundation. You could add a bit more bass in there and some structure. Also a good thing to do is layer the synth chords with other sounds. The growls at first don't seem to be in key, and could be supported by some sub bass. The chord progression could be changed up a little, to make it more interesting. I like how you automate the cutoff and the release. Also one more thing is to use more percussion, like hi hats and cymbals. Effects like risers and impacts are good to use also.

love the delay and reverb used here, and the drop is simple and catchy. Very kool

The chord progressions are neat! you drop could use some sub bass or a roaring mid bass , if thats what you like. Its sounds dreamy... which is epic

we do a little producing
